Are OEMs producing enough eLCV variants?

by Louise Cole - 10 Nov, 2022

Most OEMs are playing it safe with electric LCVs, typically only offering a panel van. The main exception to that rule was Harris Maxus - until now.
IVECO has announced that the new eDaily will be available at up to 7.2 tonnes GVW. Along with the panel van there will be as well as single wheel and twin wheel versions. Like Maxus there will be height and wheelbase options as well.
Does this mean Iveco overtakes Maxus as offering the broadest range of electric vans?

More details of the eDaily below.

Zero emissions meet maximum load: IVECO goes electric with the new eDAILY

  • No limits: emission-free, noise-free and travel restriction-free with enhanced efficiency and comfort.
  • No restraints: same body variants, cargo capacity and performance as the Daily.
  • No need to change processes and habits: same driveability and load ability, range autonomy up to 400km in urban real-life usage
  • eDAILY is a reliable and profitable zero-emission solution for urban delivery vans as well as for any mission. With eDAILY also bodybuilders can join the electric revolution.
  • eDAILY productivity and ease of use are enhanced by a complete eco-system of digital and electric services: from the setup of the best suitable charging infrastructure to day-by-day energy management, from remote diagnosis and proactive maintenance to the new GATE “pay-per-use” business model.
